Description : Interactive session
Each lecture will focus on teaching the algorithm of use of imaging for every joint, from the basic radiograph evaluation – what can be extracted, what are the signs that cannot be missed; what can ultrasound add, and when to escalate to MRI. A lot of people do not feel comfortable looking at radiographs from children, and this is something they probably find at emergency departments. In a nutshell, the aim is to give attendants tips about where pathology occurs, how it looks like, which lesions are not accidental… around the different joints; because the real situation is that children come with “pain in…”
The idea is to have a systematic approach.

Description : Typical findings of myopathies will be addressed using interactive cases-discussion. You bring your own laptop and we provide you a PACS-like environment to have a look at each case before we will solve it together. The notion of pattern and the reasoning behind the diagnosis of muscle abnormalities on MRI will be discussed.
With a mixture of clear-cut and more challenging cases, the most common myopathies but also the main differential diagnoses will also be reviewed.
Moderators: Robert Carlier (Hôpital Raymond Poincaré - GHU Paris Saclay, Garches, FRANCE), Marie Faruch (CHU Toulouse Purpan, Toulouse, FRANCE)
Robert Carlier (Garches, FRANCE)
- Optimize MRI protocols for the exploration of myopathy and acquire knowledge of typical myopathy findings.
- Thanks to real-time interactive feedback by the end of the session, participants will be able to identify the main abnormalities affecting the muscle and know the principles of reflection to define a pattern of muscle disease.
Robert Carlier (Garches, FRANCE)
- Characterize the abnormalities of diseases which could mimic myopathies.
- By the end of the sessions, participants will distinguish between myopathies and other diseases such as SLA, CMT, denervation and pseudotumoral disorders
Marie Faruch (Toulouse, FRANCE)
- Recognize the main findings of inflammatory myopathies at imaging.
- By interactive case discussion, the key terms and classification criteria of inflammatory myopathies will be addressed.
- By the end of this session, participants will know key features of inflammatory myopathies in adults.
Frédéric Lecouvet (Louvain, BELGIUM)
- Recognize the main findings of facio scapula humeral myopathy at imaging.
- By interactive case discussion, the key terms of FSH will be addressed.
- By the end of this session, participants will know keyfeatures of FSH in adults.
Robert Carlier (Garches, FRANCE), Marie Faruch (Toulouse, FRANCE)
- To recognize the main findings of congenital myopathies at imaging.
- By interactive case discussion, the key terms and classification criteria of congenital myopathies will be addressed.
- By the end of this session, participants will know key features of most frequent congenital myopathies in child and in adults.

Description : Description & Programme
Anatomy is at the heart of the musculoskeletal radiologist's practice. This workshop aims to provide food for thought on anatomy as a tool for training and understanding musculoskeletal imaging and serving imaging research, and imaging as a tool for serving anatomy and biomechanical research. In this workshop, we will develop:
- How to teach, learn, train and correlate with radiological anatomy on the body donor (Demondion X, Guenoun D, Creze M)
- The relationship between imaging and musculoskeletal modeling (Vergari C)
- The relationship between anatomy, imaging and soft tissue and bone biomechanics (Vergari C, Guenoun D, Creze M)
